Frequently Asked Questions
"I clicked a link and it's not working. What do I do?"
Make sure you are signed into your Caldwell County Schools email address! Some links are not open to the public to prevent spam, scams, and other issues.
"Do you offer extra credit?"
YES, I do! All info on extra credit can be found HERE!
"Do we have homework?"
YES! You have a weekly assignment that is given on Monday and due Friday. It will be graded over the weekend, and returned to you on the following Monday. Be sure to check the Homework section on your class page.
"What did I miss while I was out?"
If you're going to miss a class day, be sure to check the daily agenda powerpoint that is linked on your class page. That way, you'll have a bit of an idea of what you missed.
"What happens if I turn in something late?"
You have one week to turn in an assignment after the due date. I will take 50% of your earned grade off (for example, if the score earned is an 80, you get a 40). After one week, I will not accept it.
"I need help! What do I do?"
You can always come to SmartLunch for help.
"I can't come to your SmartLunch Focus time! What do I do?"
Remember, Mandatory Focus cannot be skipped. If you cannot make it to SmartLunch for voluntary focus, we can schedule a time to meet and work together after school. Please give me plenty of notice (2-3 days) to look at my schedule.
"I just failed my test. What do I do?"
You can always complete test corrections. To complete test corrections, look for the button labeled "Unit ## Test Corrections" on the webpage for the test you failed. The corrections page is much like the test you took, except it is shortened. Test corrections can be done at any time, either here or at home. You may use your notes on test corrections, look up answers on Google, work with a partner, or do anything else you need in order to get the problems correct. I will average your second attempt score with your first attempt score. This is the equivalent of giving you half the points you lost back for problems you corrected. If you manage to score lower on your second attempt, I will leave your original grade unchanged.

- If you missed the day that an assignment was due (Friday), you will be expected to turn it in as soon as you return to class. It is YOUR responsibility to remember to turn in your assignment on your first day back, or it will be considered late.
