A Note About Calculators: Having access to graphing calculator technology outside of class will greatly benefit you when studying outside of class. You will not need to purchase a TI-84 graphing calculator for this course; they are available in my classroom, but must stay in the classroom. You may rent a graphing calculator from the math department for $10 per semester (supplies are limited).
Want a free calculator? The website www.desmos.com/calculator has many features of our TI-84 calculators and is free to use. A limited version of Desmos is also available for students to use on their final exam!
Textbook: A course worktext (Big Ideas Math: Integrated Mathematics III) is provided, however, if the book is lost or damaged beyond use, a $20 charge must be paid prior to receiving a replacement worktext.

Feeling generous?
Like most teachers, I spend a lot of money out of pocket on supplies for my students. To the right is a link to an Amazon wishlist of supplies I frequently purchase for the classroom (as well as other random decorations and tools). Please note: it is my strict policy that I do not offer extra credit for students who bring in supplies. It is my opinion that grades should reflect a student's academic performance, and not their family's income. If you need extra credit, check out this page with lots of extra credit opportunities! |
