About The Project...
For The Glossary Project, students will compile evidence of their mastery of the course curriculum. By the end of the year, each student will have an invaluable reference guide to use in their future math courses.
For each unit, students will receive a list of goals called "I can..." statements, as well as a list of important vocabulary for the unit. For the vocabulary section, students need to define each term in their own words. I do not want definitions copied straight from the internet with lots of technical jargon. The point of this is so that you understand it!
Each "I can..." statement has 1 to 3 problems to complete. With each problem, students will explain in as much detail as possible how to complete problems of that nature in the future. Remember, consider this as a "field guide" for you to use in future math classes!
For this project, students will need a 1-subject notebook. Students may also print the glossary and bind it in a notebook or folder if they so choose.
